Festival Pixelatl regresa a Guadalajara para unir lo mejor de la animación mexicana

El evento además de contar con charlas, exhibición y talleres, también permite crear conexiones entre el talento y los proyectos

Los ojos del mundo están en la animación mexicana, recientemente varios compatriotas participaron en la creación de “Spider-Man: a través del Spider-Verso”, el país fue el invitado especial en el Festival Annecy y la cinta  “Águila y Jaguar: los guerreros legendarios” fue reconocida en los Premios Platino, sin embargo, podría estar mucho mejor.

Así lo ve José Iñesta, director del Festival Pixelatl, quien considera que el talento existe, pero hacen falta más recursos para impulsar y agrandar la industria, ya que hasta ahora sólo en Guadalajara, Jalisco, hay incentivos fiscales para el área, de ahí que este año nuevamente regresen con una edición más al estado.

El impulso de la animación en Jalisco

“La animación es muchísimo más cara de hacer que las producciones normales y demanda más tiempo. Imcine (Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía) ha creado algunas convocatorias especiales, pero todos los recursos han disminuido, como resultado limita el la ayuda, por eso también hace falta algo importante: incentivos fiscales que inviten a trabajar en el país”, señaló Iñesta.

El director de Pixelatl considera que el crecimiento de Jalisco en el área es gracias a los incentivos que han creado para impulsar la industria, porque conocen su importancia y derrame económico que deja.

“La animación tiene varios retos y se necesitan incentivos para desarrollar proyectos, porque una producción necesita tener 80 animadores trabajando de tres a cinco años de tiempo completo para poder trabajar un sólo largometraje y es difícil sostenerlo, entonces se necesita apoyo en producción y distribución”, agregó.

Sin embargo, no sólo en Guadalajara ha crecido la industria, la CDMX mantiene dos de los estudios más grandes del rubro en Latinoamérica, y también se hace animación en Tijuana y Mérida, en el segundo estado resalta el trabajo en los videojuegos.
