Al encabezar la 113 Asamblea General Ordinaria del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador celebró la recuperación económica del país tras la crisis de la pandemia de COVID-19, la cual se observa en el registro, sin precedentes, de 21 millones 600 mil trabajadores registrados al IMSS y el salario mensual promedio que perciben.
“Esto no había sucedido nunca y también otro dato importante es que el promedio del salario mensual de los trabajadores inscritos en el IMSS es de 14 mil 600 pesos mensuales, también histórico”, enfatizó.
El mandatario sostuvo que el Gobierno de México atenderá el aumento de la demanda de atención médica que generó el aumento de la inscripción de empleados.
Además, reconoció el humanismo y la dimensión social de las y los trabajadores del Instituto al tiempo que agradeció la disposición mostrada en la implementación del programa IMSS Bienestar, iniciativa dedicada a garantizar atención médica gratuita y de calidad a personas sin seguridad social, principalmente en regiones rurales.
“Que se haga realidad en nuestro país lo que establece el artículo 4° de la Constitución: el derecho del pueblo a la salud porque sí son 80 millones de derechohabientes pero somos cerca de 130 millones de mexicanos y hay millones de mexicanos que no tienen seguridad social y el programa IMSS Bienestar es para eso, para que nadie se quede sin oportunidad de ser atendido ante una enfermedad; que se tenga atención médica hasta en los pueblos más apartados”, remarcó.
“Que se cuente con médicos, con especialistas en las regiones de la montaña, de la selva; que se tenga abasto del cien por ciento de medicamentos. (…) Todos los medicamentos, todos los servicios y de manera gratuita. Ese sueño, esa utopía, se va a convertir en realidad pronto en nuestro país”, añadió.
El jefe del Ejecutivo estuvo acompañado por la jefa de Gobierno, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo; el director general del IMSS, Zoé Robledo Aburto; integrantes del Gabinete Legal y Ampliado, representantes de Cámaras de comercio e industriales, así como de sindicatos.
